The Allan Hancock College Foundation is regionally recognized as a top-25 charitable foundation on California’s Central Coast. Our mission is to provide critical resources for student success at Allan Hancock College, a California Community College that serves northern Santa Barbara County. Hancock is a federally designated Hispanic-serving Institution, with a significant majority of students from low-income and first-generation college-going households. Ninety percent of all Hancock students matriculate locally, which means the work of the Foundation is transformational for those who need education the most in our region.
The Allan Hancock College Foundation is currently engaged in a $10 million campaign to permanently endow the Hancock Promise Fund—with over $5.5 million committed since 2018. This hallmark program ensures that all local high school graduates can start college without the burden of paying tuition or fees. The Advancement Officer is an essential contributor to the success of the campaign and the momentum it will create upon its completion.
