In times of crisis and financial uncertainty, nonprofit leaders often do not have the time or ability to conduct formal scenario planning exercises. But they can still develop potential scenarios and back-up plans that can provide leaders, their staff, boards, and funders the confidence they need to adapt to drastic and sudden shifts.

Through this workshop, nonprofit leaders will receive guidance and tools for:

  • Identifying the challenges/risks and opportunities your organization is facing going forward;
  • Examining the potential impact on revenue and expense (and overall bottom line);
  • Brainstorming a portfolio of options for closing identified gaps / shortfalls;
  • Building financial scenario models that assess outcomes and likelihood of alternative contingency approaches;
  • Proposing and discussing contingency planning with your board, funders and community partners.

Audience:  Nonprofit staff leadership, nonprofit board leadership, funders, nonprofit community stakeholders.

This workshop is being offered through the generous support of the Santa Barbara Foundation.
