In this interactive training, you will gain practical knowledge and the confidence to strengthen your organization’s data collection and evaluation activities. We’ll look at the evaluation process including figuring out what you need to evaluate, deciding on the right tools, and effectively using the information these tools provide. We’ll also talk about the central role of people and power in evaluation – there’s no one right way to do it. As we learn, we’ll use real-world scenarios to work through common challenges and create solutions together.
During this workshop, participants will:
- Develop a better understanding of the evaluation process.
- Be aware of a wide range of data collection tools and the pros and cons of each.
- Recognize that there is no one right way to do evaluation, it is all about the people.
- Feel more confident in making decisions about what to evaluate and how.
This workshop is targeted at nonprofit program coordinators / managers, nonprofit executive directors who have significant accountability for program execution and community impact, nonprofit board members and volunteers engaged in program oversight, and foundation program managers.
This course will include a post-workshop office hours where participants can further explore their real-world issues with the facilitator.
