Day of Hope 2026

SAVE THE DATE: the 13th annual Day of Hope will take place Wednesday, August 26, 2026! Dignity Health, in partnership with the Santa Maria Times, proudly hosts Day of Hope year after year to raise awareness and funding for our loved ones, both past and present, in their battle against cancer.

On August 26, hundreds of community volunteers will take to the streets, intersections, parking lots, and public spaces throughout the Santa Maria Valley in groups of various sizes to collect $1.00 donations in exchange for a limited edition, commemorative Day of Hope newspaper. Participants have the opportunity to fundraise virtually as well, either individually or as part of a team, through personalized fundraising pages that can be shared with friends, family and colleagues via email or your favorite social networks.
