Free AI Welcome Session for Santa Barbara Nonprofit Leaders — February 26th, 2026
Some of you might know me from TEDxSantaBarbara—I’ve been producing events here since 2010. But this isn’t a TED thing.
Through Coastal Intelligence, our local AI think tank, we’re launching a year-long initiative to help Santa Barbara nonprofits navigate AI adoption—practically, ethically, and without the hype.
We’re kicking it off with a free welcome session for nonprofit leadership on February 26th. We’ve got room for 100 people, and we want leaders in the nonprofit sector in that room.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
- The real implications of AI for the nonprofit sector
- What’s actually working (and what’s just noise)
- Ethical considerations and governance
- What practical AI adoption looks like for organizations like yours
This is the opening to what we’ll be doing for nonprofits in our community over the next year. For those who want to go deeper, we’re also running a two-day hands-on workshop (February 26-27) covering brand voice, fundraising strategy, grant writing, and campaign development.
