CALM Welcomes New Clinical Leadership Role

CALM has announced the selection of Ashleigh Erving as its Senior Manager of Community Collaborations, a new role for the organization. Erving will serve on the clinical leadership team and is responsible for the overall direction, implementation, and evaluation of CALM’s community-based programs and services throughout Santa Barbara County.

Erving will manage all aspects of CALM’s partnerships with medical providers, such as the Pediatric Resiliency Collaborative (PeRC), ACEs Aware, Network of Care (NOC) and Cottage Health’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) project. In addition, she will oversee community collaborations with preschools, early care and education centers, and after school learning programs. In her role, Erving will manage and nurture these partnerships to support the on-going development of trauma-informed organizations throughout Santa Barbara County.

“This is an exciting new chapter for CALM with the addition of Ashleigh Erving in a role specifically designed to move forward our mission of building resilient communities,” said Alana Walczak, President and CEO of CALM. “To create lasting community change, we believe in the power of systems change, with an emphasis on the education and healthcare sectors. We are overjoyed to welcome Ashleigh back to CALM to lead these critical collaborative efforts in this newly-created role.”

This appointment marks Erving’s return to CALM where she served as an intensive in-home therapist from 2007-2009. She brings more than 17 years of expertise having most recently served as the Executive Director of the Channel Islands YMCA Youth and Family Services. Further, she provided critical leadership at Family Service Agency of Santa Barbara County instituting data-driven approaches to improve the quality of clinical service delivery and community collaborations.
