Leading From Within Welcomes Two New Board Members

Victoria Juarez

We are thrilled to welcome Victoria Juarez to our board of directors. She is the executive director of Girls Inc. of Carpinteria, an organization that seeks to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold. She brings 18 years of community and nonprofit experience. She is interested in creating opportunities and resources for girls to learn and grow, to navigate the unique challenges they face growing up, and to discover their potential as leaders with the courage and vision to change the world. She is an alum of the Katherine Harvey Fellows program and the Courage to Lead program for non-profit leaders.

We asked Victoria – Why Leading from Within?
“Leading From Within and leaders participating in programs are positively changing the culture and landscape of the nonprofit community and through this– changing lives. As a community, it is our responsibility to support and help sustain our leaders to ensure they have the support, resources and capital they need to create impact.”

Her leadership created a culture known for thoughtful listening, removing obstacles and offering strong tactical support. Lois balances vision, creativity and leveraging with operationally measurable and quantifiable responses to opportunities and challenges.

We asked Lois – Why Leading from Within?
“Leading from Within symbolizes a kindred spirit to me. Their powerful support and demonstrable impact to Santa Barbara’s Nonprofit sector offers an engaging opportunity for my involvement.”
