Security Guards – Full-Time, Part-Time and Variable Schedule Status Available

Join in on the excitement of our Exhibitions and Art Programming in downtown Santa Barbara within the newly renovated Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Security Guards wanted and welcome at $16/hour for schedules of full-time, part-time regular, and variable status (scheduled as needed), with opportunities to work on weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.

Duties include patrolling the Museum to prevent theft, damage and injuries, monitoring and reporting any security or safety irregularities, and providing information to visitors. The ideal candidate will have a professional appearance and effective communication and customer service skills. Some security or law enforcement experience preferred. High school diploma or GED required.

Full Time status is eligible for up to 15 days of paid vacation, 13 paid holidays, 64 hours of paid sick leave and up to 80 hours of COVID sick leave as needed. Part-time and variable status is eligible for 32 hours paid sick leave and if needed up to 80 COVID related sick pay. Variable status may equal part-time or full-time hours. Partial benefits are available for a regular schedule of 20 or more hours/week include prorated vacation, holiday pay, and 403b retirement eligibility.
