Administrative Assistant – New Beginnings Counseling Center. 40 hours per week position for non-profit agency that provides mental health services at a community clinic and shelter and supportive services to the homeless and veteran populations.

Responsibilities and tasks include providing comprehensive administrative assistance to Executive and Clinical Directors and agency administrative staff to support daily agency activities. Daily tasks include researching community resources; collection of data; assembling grant proposals; recording, processing, and billing client fees; maintaining and updating agency-wide contact list; participating in health and safety procedure implementation; and coordinating and analyzing quarterly assessment data. Responsibilities also include basic office administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, filing, entering data, preparing correspondence, restocking office supplies, answering phones, delivering documents, etc.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, excels at computer work and has experience providing administrative support in an office environment. The assistant must have a demonstrated ability to multi-task and must have a can-do, team-oriented approach to work. Experience with data collection preferred and/or a solid demonstrated ability to use complex software and Microsoft Excel for data collection. The position requires initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to be self-directed and work autonomously. Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in psychology, social work, or counseling. Bi-lingual a plus but not required. A background check will be conducted.

Work hours are during the traditional work week of Monday – Friday, 9-6 although there will be occasional nighttime and weekend OT hours to assist with community events and emergent deadlines. Salary is $19 per hour with benefits as applicable for a temporary position. Position begins May 17th and ends July 30th. There is the possibility of transitioning to a full-time permanent position, depending on skill set and available opportunities,
