Hospice of Santa Barbara (HSB) is pleased to welcome Dianne Travis-Teague to its Board of Directors. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in nonprofits and education.
“Dianne has shown to be greatly passionate about education and helping others,” said David Selberg, Hospice of Santa Barbara CEO. “Community education and promoting knowledge surrounding loss and bereavement is key to serving our community, making Dianne invaluable in achieving Hospice of Santa Barbara’s mission.”
As Director of Alumni Relations for Pacifica Graduate Institute, Dianne has created and maintained pathways for alumni participation. Dianne has extensive capabilities in many areas, such as project management, financial analysis, training, team building and mentoring.
Dianne earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management & Marketing at Northwestern University in Illinois. A two-time survivor of breast cancer who is living with heart disease, Dianne actively participates in community service. This includes being a national spokeswoman for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the Avon Foundation for Women: Breast Cancer Crusade, the National Breast Cancer Foundation, WomenHeart (the National Coalition for Women Living with Heart Disease), Mended Hearts, Inc., and the Women’s Heart Center.
Dianne hopes to leave a legacy that exemplifies Maya Angelou’s wise words: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
