This fall, The Foundation Roundtable proudly presents Partnership for Excellence (PFE) 2021. This digital event will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 on the new ZoomEvents platform. This year’s PFE theme is “Shifts, Innovations, and Lessons From Pandemic Forward” and focuses on re-connecting members of the local nonprofit sector and moving forward in a post-pandemic world.

The past 18 months have been difficult and demanding for the Santa Barbara community’s nonprofit sector in ways too numerous to list. Today, our local non-profit workforce is on the frontlines of community and systems change as our world earnestly reopens amid ongoing health guidelines.

Claudia Armann, Chair of the Foundation Roundtable whose members sponsor this event,

invites attendees, “At the Partnership for Excellence 2021, how might we reconnect to share, renew our spirits, and explore pathways to collectively strengthen our community together?”

This fall, PFE will highlight positive shifts, new alliances, and important lessons reflected within the Santa Barbara County nonprofit community in response to simultaneous pandemic, economic, social justice challenges. A presentation of the initial findings from the Santa Barbara Foundation’s countywide Nonprofit Leader Survey will launch the day’s programming, followed by a selection of Community Conversations, led by nonprofit leaders and funding partners. Topics include Reimagining Resilience – Innovations from Neighborhoods to Regions; Applying Our Equity Lens – County Outreach and Partnering with Latinx Indigenous Migrant Task Force; and Diversifying Access to Mental Health Care in Our Communities. These topics aim to highlight partnerships with local organizations and funders to share their stories of innovations, tough lessons, and unexpected outcomes while illustrating the communities’ resilience and strength. Breakout conversations will provide spaces for participants to reflect, relate, and gain new perspectives.

PFE welcomes representatives from nonprofits and foundations with the intention to highlight the diversity of the Santa Barbara County community. Staff and board members from 501c(3) nonprofit organizations and foundations serving Santa Barbara County community members are invited to register. The program welcomes grassroots, small, and large organizations as well as a variety of roles in the sector from throughout the county. Consultants currently serving Santa Barbara County nonprofits are also welcome.

Partnership for Excellence is a live virtual event to be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm PDT. Pre-registration is required by Friday, October 15, 2021. With generous sponsorship from The Foundation Roundtable members, this year’s virtual Partnership for Excellence is free to Santa Barbara County participants. To register, visit nprnsb.org/pfe.
