Family Service Agency (FSA) of Santa Barbara County welcomes new trustees to its Board of Directors, Emerson Baja and Linda Sessler.
Emerson Baja is employed with the Santa Barbara County Probation Department and possesses a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He has vast experience working with the adult and juvenile offender population, providing resources and encouraging both preventative and rehabilitative services.
Passionate about inspiring positive change and innovation, Emerson is also an ambassador for Santa Barbara County’s Renew 22 initiative He has partnered with multiple agencies to best serve the community in a meaningful manner and says that joining the team at FSA will further his goal to serve others.
Linda Sessler is a self-employed consultant with over 25 years of experience in administration and contract negotiation for companies such as Hughes/Santa Barbara Research Center, Superconductor Technologies, and the University of California at Santa Barbara. She has an MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California and a BS in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo.
Family Service Agency of Santa Barbara County (FSA), doing business as Santa Maria Youth & Family Center in the Santa Maria Valley, is a nonprofit social service agency that has served the people of Santa Barbara County since 1899. FSA works to help the community’s most vulnerable children, families, and seniors meet their basic needs while simultaneously addressing secondary mental and behavioral health needs.
