EXTREMIS – FREE Film Screening to Address End of Life Choices

Santa Barbara, CA March 28, 2017- Between love and fear, between science and faith, lies the ultimate choice. Visiting Nurse & Hospice Care hosts a special screening of the Academy Award–nominated,  short documentary EXTREMIS, and then choose your own Q&A breakout session led by experts from Visiting Nurse & Hospice Care. The event will take place Wednesday, April 26 from 7:00 to 8:30pm at the Fleischmann Auditorium at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, 2559 Puesta del Sol – Just beyond the Old Mission. Admission is free with registration at www.vnhcsb.org/extremis.

The film itself is 25-minutes. Following the conclusion of the film, break out group topics include: Navigating the Maze of End of Life Care: From Starting the Conversation to Making Decisions; Understanding Hospice: It’s So Much More Than What We Think; Planning Ahead: Advanced Healthcare Directives.
