Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Center Announces Barn Dance Fundraiser

SANTA BARBARA, CA, MAY 6, 2024 – Hearts’ is excited to announce that the annual fundraising event, the Barn Dance Fundraiser & Auction, is coming back to the community on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Santa Barbara Carriage Museum. Last year the event raised over $100,000, more than doubling the goal thanks to the incredible support of the local community. The event will feature live music by Caught Red Handed, a BBQ dinner, cocktails, and a live and silent auction. Funds raised will underwrite the cost of therapeutic horseback riding so that low-income children and adults with all kinds of disabilities can participate in life-changing equine-assisted services. Event Chair, Carol Kallman, shares “I am so proud to be supporting such an amazing organization that helps so many people in the community. From youth, to individuals with disabilities, to our Veteran heroes, Hearts’ has truly impacted thousands in our community.”.

Since 1985, Hearts has provided equine-assisted services to inspire, strengthen, and motivate children and adults with special needs in Santa Barbara County. With two full-time and four part-time employees, a herd of 16 specially trained horses, and a dedicated corps of 100+ volunteers, Hearts offers year-round programming to over 100 individuals each year.

Tickets for the Barn Dance are $125 per person and are available through their website at www.heartsriding.org. For more questions about the Barn Dance, contact DeeDee Conrad at deedee@heartsriding.org.
